My writing platforms

If you must write, you must have a platform or platforms in which you will share your writing. Platforms are great and they are important than you think they are. Your platforms can be virtually online or physical. I suggest that you start online through various social media handles such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), WhatsApp, and alike. There are also various writing groups where you can get heard. You can always search online for the resources you are after.

If you do not share your writing, you will not expand your knowledge in a particular topic, also, no one will know you and what you are about, especially if your writing is a career that will generate income.

What is the point of writing in your secret place and not sharing, unless your writing is a personal journal? The more you share, the more you get noticed and the more you grow and expand in that area. I am positive that someone wants to hear what you have to say.

I have heard a lot of positive remarks about my books and writing. I have also inspired a lot of people to write. So, never think that your writing is a waste of time.

My Story

In 2018, I was going through my email and I read an email from the Nigerian Society of Victoria (NSV). I belong to this community of Nigerian Victorians.

The email from NSV opened up an opportunity for a leadership program. It must be that I was born to lead, I am always attracted to anything leadership and to great leaders like John. C. Maxwell and Richard Branson.

I remember taking a leadership survey introduced by John. C. Maxwell which informed me of the kind of leader that I was at that time, sometime around 2017.

I also remember answering a question Richard Branson asked then, on who I would like to become in another few years, and truly, I am what I have written and thought about and I haven't reached where I am going yet.

What has this story got to do with platforms?

Well, I pursued the email I read from NSV, I was interested, and I filled out the required form for the leadership program. While filling out the form. It was required of me to share who I was, my websites, my platforms, and why I think I qualify for the leadership program, so I quickly remembered all I had been doing. How the Lord instructed me to start a business, then write books and alike. So, I pulled up all of this information and sites and submitted them because they were already available.

I did not need to hurry to create one, I did not stress out. I easily uploaded all the information I had and I was successful as you can see on my certificate as proof. It is not so much about the certificate but the need to always be ready for the day that you will be called. The platform that you create today will be worth it and for a purpose tomorrow.

I also quickly recall that once I started writing Christian books and writing and composing gospel songs, my husband told me, Dr. Olusola Solomon Oyadeyi, he said "One day someone will pull you out and ask you to pray.

And I thought, "Will I be ready", and now I am ready because I continue to meditate on the word of God and intentionally use the scriptures to pray, and truly, one day I was asked to pray in a meeting with other children of God, the first time I was shy and I felt intimidated and the second time was better and now I am ready and still learning how to pray.

My Story

Again, another story of how I became the Publicity Director for Mount Zion Institute Alumni International Fellowship (MZIAIF).

Yes! I had this urge to do some Christian dramas, and although I had no one to help me, I managed with the resources that I had then and did as much as the Holy Spirit inspired me to.

Then I uploaded all my single-man dramas on YouTube. It was after that I saw an online certificate course organized by Mount Zion.

I had been dreaming of when I would visit Nigeria to go to Mount Zion theatre school, but I was too scared to travel and as God will have it, Mount Zion course came to me easily.

After my course, I wanted to meet like-minded people so I heard the name of my International Coordinator for MZIAIF, Pastor Dare Jeremiah during the course. so I contacted him and shared my platforms, and after a while, I was asked to become MZIAIF Publicity Director for the Australia region and I jumped at it. My platforms created divine opportunities for me and they gave birth to much more than the title of Publicity Director

Tips

Spiritual gifts are different from natural abilities.

If you are gifted with the Holy Spirit, then listen to His prompts and do accordingly.

Do not look at the size of the workload but rather concentrate on the joy of doing it and be proactive about it. it will be worth it.

So, have you thought about what you are going to write and have you created some platforms?

You can do it.

Say something, someone wants to hear it.
