It is the declaration of God's word in Isiah 43.2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

The Word: It works for me is also a testimony. It confirms that the word of God has been used and proven in a circumstance , like in a time of trouble. It makes other people who are in trouble to believe in the power that is in the word of God. It also gives others the confidence to use and rely upon the word of God.
For example, if a person is sick, that person can believe and declare the word of God in (Isaiah 53:5) and God will do the healing.
The Word: It works for me is melodious and joyous. The Bible says that in the presence of God is fullness of joy (Psalm 16.11). The Word: it works for me, when sung, will bring the presence of God to you, and it will give you the opportunity to pray and for the Holy Spirit to intercede on your behalf so that your prayers can be answered.
